We spend a lot of time on Instagram (no, really—a lot of time), and when we’re not living vicariously through our favorite FOMO-inducing accounts, we’re checking out some particularly talented users. So when our GQ castings teamfinds a ‘grammer worth shouting out, we think it’s our duty to share him or herwith you. Today we want to introduce you to thrill-seeking Instagram famous model Jocelyn Chew.

Jocelyn Chew’s modeling career took off after she appeared on the reality TV show The Face, where she learned how to pose like a pro from super model Naomi Campbell. But before all that, the 24-year-old model spent her formative years on a farm in British Columbia, Canada. Now Chew feels most comfortable when she’s on the move. Which works out just fine since her job involves a lot of traveling to remote beaches, faraway mountains, and, every once in a while, a glacier. Wherever the shoot may be, you can find her performing her own stunts, which makes for some pretty phenomenal Instagram photos. Follow Chew to satisfy your wanderlust, get excited for warmer weather, and of course for her expertly framed sun-kissed selfies.

In a world where perfection is applauded and social media reigns supreme, the alteration and manipulation of photographs is more than just a tweak here or a filter there. Celebrities are perpetually exhibitions of the bizarre wonders of Photoshop, but it’s the viewer who ultimately suffers thanks to a skewed sense of what’s beautiful and, ultimately, what’s real.

Over the years celebrities have begun calling out various outlets and photographers for their unrealistic portrayals of their bodies, and lately they’ve been more outspoken than ever. Stars including Priyanka ChopraRumer Willis, and Zendaya have been mercilessly retouched, proving that no matter your body type, someone will find a way to photoshop you into that so-called state of “perfection.” Here, we’ve rounded up the stars who won’t allow themselves and their bodies to be used to create such unreal expectations. Snaps for them!

With August on the horizon, it’s almost time to start thinking about back-to-school style—whether or not you’re an actual student. One look that could easily translate from the sidewalks to the hallways was seen today on Emily Ratajkowski. When she stepped out in Los Angeles, she sported a leather backpack-and-minidress combination that loosely channeled the fashion made famous in Clueless, which celebrated its 22nd anniversary last week.

As a simpler alternative to her signature sundress, the sleeveless T-shirt shift had an effortless, modest-but-not-too appeal that would work for the first day of day of school and beyond (because trying too hard is never a good look). Fresh off of a summer vacation in Italy, Ratajkowski set off her tan with perfectly weather-beaten tennis shoes in a shade that matched the frock. Her apple-red book bag was a nice foil to so much beige, while those round tinted sunglasses by Garrett Leight California Optical, come fall, would serve as a fashion-forward reminder that it’s always summer somewhere.

In the world of style, the saying, “what’s old can be made new again” is proven every few decades. Fashion cycles often breathe new life into stale trends, while running on a limitless source of fuel: nostalgia. Right now, it’s the ’90s that are experiencing a resurgence. Kids who grew up wearing baggy jeans, over-sized blazers, chokers, white keds, and anything with a smiley face attached are reaching adulthood and they’re aching to take back a bit of their old school trends. The easiest way to get it? Bringing back a little bit of style from that familiar era and then adapting it for now.

From chokers to crop tops and platform shoes, here are a few ’90s fashion trends that are making a comeback.
